History
Delivered in 1989 to Gotham based operator South Notts, 129 is fitted with a Northern Counties Double Deck body, seating a total of 83 passengers, 49 upstairs and 34 in the lower deck.
This was the second of two vehicles delivered new to the operator in 1988/9.
In March 1991, South Notts were taken over by Nottingham City Transport, and 129 passed to them as part of the sale, being renumbered 699.
It was withdrawn by Nottingham City Transport in 2003, and was acquired by Loughborough based operator Paul Winson, and repainted into their livery.
It was used by them until withdrawal in 2014, and was kindly donated by them to NHVC.
It has been completely repanelled and repainted to as new condition including the restoration of the side destination blind.
Relevance to Collection
This was the last vehicle acquired by South Notts before the takeover by Nottingham City Transport.
